Synopsis:
The new hilarious and heartfelt musical from the award-winning team of bookwriter Michael Ruby and composer/lyricist Rob Rokicki, STRANGE TAILS is a collection of interwoven short musicals based on incredible strange-but-true animal stories. The show explores our relationship to animals: how we treat them, and ultimately our interdependence with them. The piece is a tour-de-force for a four-person ensemble all playing multiple roles; with a fast, furious and funny script and contemporary score. STRANGE TAILS is comprised of three musicals:

POLLY, WANT A MORTGAGE?
It’s one of the most bizarre stories of “The Great Recession.” It’s the story of an evil financial giant, a hard-working waitress and the 11-year-old Blue and Gold Macaw she loves more than life. It’s a story that would be utterly ludicrous if it weren’t true

HAMS ON THE LAM
Part daring prison escape plot, part classic chase story, part buddy comedy, HAMS ON THE LAM is based on the strange and extraordinary true story of two English pigs that escaped slaughter – and became international media superstars.

BARKING UP THE WRONG TOE
They say dog is man’s best friend. This incredibly quirky real story of canine devotion goes to show just how powerful the bond of love and friendship between pets and their owners can be, as a loyal dog and her feline friend save their master from the brink of death.
